Sydney’s Pop-up Brands a Revitalisation Solution for Barcelona

Pop-up Brands helps underused space owners and space seekers to get together. Their fast and easy way to make connections saw them selected as one of the top five solutions to help Barcelona revitalize vacant urban space at the recent LLGA Cities Summit in San Francisco. 

Pop-up Brands at 2013 LLAG SummitPop-up Brands presented their solution for 'Activating vacant spaces by creating opportunities for economic growth and employment' at the LLGA Cities Pilot the Future Summit in May. They were one of 2,535 solutions Citymart.com researchers identified for the challenges faced by 22 world cities and nominated to present at the global Summit by the city of Barcelona.

The LLGA Cities Pilot the Future program is a collaboration with Citymart.com which aims to connect cities to solution providers.

Sascha Haselmayer, co-founder of the program, describes their vision as a marketplace, "In which high-impact solutions to improve lives spread rapidly across cities.”
