Signage

Certain types of signage are listed under the Codes SEPP as exempt development. 

In order to ensure development consent is not required, the following development standards apply: 

• new signage must replace a lawful sign

• new signage must not be greater in size than the sign that is replaced

• new signage must not be a sign that is flashing or animated

• new signage must not involve any alteration to the structure on which the sign is displayed

• new signage must not obstruct or interfere with traffic signs
